Ed Reel

Ed has a diverse background in IT including hardware break/fix, software development, network and system administration. He has over 20 years in the field and over 15 years in open source. Familiar with PHP since version 3 and Drupal since version 4.7, he started his development career as a software engineer writing automation code in C and Lisp. He later moved on to Microsoft Access and VB/SQL Server development. As Linux and open source started becoming more popular, his interest shifted to web application development with MySQL and PHP. Eventually Drupal entered the scene, he drank the kool-aid and the rest is history.

When not engrossed in the awesome-sauce that is Drupal, he likes to get outside and enjoy camping, hiking and disc golf. He also enjoys playing guitar, reading hardcover books and getting away from computer screens.
