Cheryl Amato
Themer and Accessibility Specialist
Cheryl Amato has been designing and building websites since 1996. She started creating static sites using Dreamweaver but has evolved into designing and theming Drupal sites - both large and small. Lately she has dipped her toe into programming and hasn’t been totally scared off.
Early in her career Cheryl became involved in accessibility issues, even teaching 508 requirements to the Social Security Administration. At one point she evaluated all Maryland State websites and taught their web masters the basics of accessibility.
Cheryl lives in Baltimore, MD and holds a BFA from the University of West Florida and an MFA from UMBC. She also has a phobia about having her picture taken.
